After the wedding ceremony in Bosjökloster's church the wedding couple and guests gather for a welcome drink in the Courtyard. During winter or in poor weather the reception can be held indoors, in the castle or restaurant. We would recommend a walk through the gardens, perhaps with more champagne, overlooking Lake Ringsjön. The wedding party continues to our renovated 18th Century stable for dinner with dance and bar. Possibilities for staying over night can be arranged with close-by hotels, inns and hostels.

Wedding ceremony: Ringsjö församling

The best preserved relic of Bosjökloster's monastic past is its church. It was built in the middle of the 12th Century and dedicated to the Virgin Mary and St. Nicolaus, the patron saint of seamen. Architecturally it is a typical Norman building with a nave, chancel and apse. The only later addition is the tower which was built in the 1850's. The 16th Century oak benches are possibly the oldest preserved in their entirety in Swedish churches.
