Working in oil, combined with digital drawings, she creates intimate table scenes where everyday objects become quiet witnesses to human connection. The presence of people is rarely direct; instead it lingers in shadows, reflections and subtle distortions that suggest conversation, tenderness, tension, belonging and departure.
Raised in a family shaped by mixed European roots and lived across cultures, Blondel grew up in a family-run bed and breakfast where meals were daily spaces of encounter and exchange. A life marked by movement, meetings and leave-takings continues to inform her work, where shared settings become stages for emotional and relational exchange.
She holds a BFA from Concordia University in Montreal and has studied and worked at the Art Students League of New York. Her paintings balance structural precision with atmospheric subtlety, inviting viewers to sense what remains just beyond the visible.
She lives and works in Stockholm. During Easter you can enjoy her paintings at Bosjökloster.
