Antonia Lindell is a glassblower and artist with a studio in Rolsberga, not far from Bosjökloster, in the heart of Skåne. The closeness to animals and nature is a major source of inspiration for her unique and playful glass art.
Antonia trained at the Orrefors Glass School and at the Royal Danish Academy’s School of Design on Bornholm. From hand-shaped pieces of glass—formed at 1100°C while still molten—she builds animal-like sculptures: fragile glass joined with metal and nuts, hollow and solid glass parts, balance and imbalance, soft and hard, light and shadow. Each work is unique.
Her glass art has taken her to many places around the world: to Syracuse in Sicily during the Santa Lucia celebrations, to Paris, to Australia, and she has twice been invited to Japan, to name just a few.
