Through scale models, toys, and custom-built environments, Felix Hernandez constructs entire universes by hand before capturing them through his lens. Snowstorms are created from flour, explosions from carefully shaped cotton and smoke, and oceans are formed from richly textured materials. His work celebrates imagination, craftsmanship, and the magic of storytelling through tangible, hands-on creation.
At the heart of Dreamphography lies a timeless human need: the urge to create with our hands. By working in a tactile way, we do not only build objects, images, and stories — we also create meaning. The act of making becomes a way to ground ourselves in the present and reconnect with curiosity and imagination.
In a world increasingly dominated by digital immediacy, Dreamphography invites us to slow down. To touch materials. To experiment. To rediscover the joy of creating something concrete and tangible. This exhibition speaks to the timeless within us — the enduring human drive to build, to shape, and to give form to ideas.
Step into the role of creator and photographer!
The exhibition is more than a display of images — it is also a space for you to rediscover your creativity. Beyond the spectacular photographs, there is an interactive photo booth experience where you can work with ready-made creative models and environments.
Once you’ve finished creating, you can capture it through your own lens!
