Renowned string orchestra Musica Vitae performs a programme of beloved classical masterpieces – music that has moved generations and continues to captivate with its beauty, energy, and emotion.
Together with violin soloist Vera Panitch, the audience will experience both heartfelt and virtuosic interpretations in a programme spanning Nordic romanticism, passionate tango, and timeless classical elegance.
The concert opens in a Nordic spirit with Edvard Grieg’s Holberg Suite, where the elegance of the Baroque meets the rich sound world of Romanticism. This is followed by Argentine passion in Astor Piazzolla’s Summer and Autumn – tango filled with dramatic intensity and classical finesse.
As a contrast, we hear Antonio Vivaldi’s vibrant Summer from The Four Seasons, one of the world’s most beloved and virtuosic works for violin.
After the intermission, lightness and elegance await in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Eine kleine Nachtmusik, followed by the dreamy and poetic Après un rêve by Gabriel Fauré.
The afternoon continues with drama and dance in Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s Russian Dance from Swan Lake, before concluding with Nordic clarity and brilliance in music by Carl Nielsen.
